Fireside is an in-house project. The game’s theme are the breaks of a journey; the player spends evenings around the campfire; talking and trading instead of hacking and slaying.
Key challenges in developing the game are:
- The very close collaboration with our freelancers Linus Gärtig (graphics), Ilona Treml (text) and Matthias Meeh (sound & music)
- The designing and implementing a relaxed atmosphere at the campfire
- Managing a large codebase of all game systems
- Marketing the game and the acquisition and cooperation with international partners in distribution
